[www.inewsguyana.com] – There is still no reported sighting of a German man who was sailing from West Africa to Trinidad and Tobago and disappeared after his yacht washed up on Wakenaam Island on Friday, April 17.
Axel Verlohr had been sailing aboard the catamaran yacht, which authorities found vandalised. Verlohr’s sister was able to confirm that the yacht was her brother’s based on a German identification card and a note that was found aboard the vessel.
A press statement from the Maritime Administration Department had confirmed the vessel was found but there was no crew.
