A Soesdyke man was on Friday brought before City Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts charged with the capital offence of murder.
Orel Cole, 26, of Lot 70 Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara, is accused of killing John Knight on August 1.
His attorney Mark Conway told the court that the accused is a father of two who has no prior convictions. He also said that others are yet to be arrested in connection with the murder.
The Prosecution file was incomplete as such information surrounding the murder remains sketchy.
He was remanded to prison and will make his next court appearance on August 30.
