Schools around Georgetown Prison closed…parents urged to collect children from schools immediately

The public is being advised that schools around the Georgetown Prison and its environs are closed due to the Georgetown Prison unrest.

Parents are advised to collect their children from these schools immediately.

The Ministry of Education wishes to advise that the following schools in the vicinity of the Georgetown Prison have been closed for today, March 4, 2016:

• 1.     Smyths Street Nursery
• 2.     Smith Memorial Primary
• 3.     St. Stephen’s Primary
• 4.     Brickdam Secondary
• 5.     Central High
• 6.     Freeburg Secondary

Parents and guardians are advised to collect their children immediately.
