AmCham Guyana, in collaboration with the Guyana Development Initiative (GDI), recently hosted a symposium featuring Professor Joseph Fuller of the Harvard Business School.

The event brought together 150+ representatives from the private sector, government, and development community to engage in critical discussions on the future of work.

Professor Fuller, a globally recognized expert on management, workforce development, and economic competitiveness, and co-lead of Harvard’s Managing the Future of Work Project, served as the keynote speaker for the symposium titled “The Future of the Workforce.”

In his presentation, he examined the major forces reshaping today’s work landscape, including demographic shifts, generative AI, low workforce participation, and the urgent need for reskilling.

His insights sparked timely conversations on how Guyana’s private sector can adapt and lead in a rapidly evolving global economy.

This symposium forms part of a broader initiative by AmCham Guyana and the GDI to strengthen private sector capacity by connecting local leaders with world-class expertise.

AmCham Guyana extends sincere thanks to our sponsors — SLB, ExxonMobil Guyana, Massy Guyana, Halliburton, and MACORP — for their generous support in making this event possible.
