Registration is now open for the Caribbean Tourism Organisation’s (CTO) flagship State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC) 2026, through its webpage for persons interested in being a part of the conversations to shape the future of Caribbean tourism.
Under the theme “Tourism Futures: Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive,” the event will be hosted from October 5-9, at the Pegasus Suites and Corporate Centre in Kingston, Georgetown.
SOTIC 2026 will bring together hundreds of tourism policy makers, industry leaders, investors and other stakeholders from across the Caribbean and beyond.
It provides a valuable platform to showcase Guyana’s growing tourism product, while creating opportunities for investment, partnerships, knowledge exchange and greater international visibility as a destination.
Discussions will focus on the issues and opportunities that are shaping the future of Caribbean tourism, including investment opportunities for cruise tourism along with the official State of the Tourism Industry presentation.
Hosting the regional conference comes at a time when Guyana’s advances efforts to diversify and expand its tourism product and strengthen its presence within the Caribbean tourism market.
Beyond the conference, SOTIC 2026 is expected to generate greater exposure to Guyana’s tourism offerings, foster new regional and international partnerships, and create opportunities for local tourism businesses to engage with industry leaders and potential investors. [DPI]
