The Guyana Police Force is advising all motorists that strict enforcement of vehicle tint regulations will take effect from ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐, ๐๐๐๐.
Under the regulations, ๐ซ๐๐๐ซ (๐๐๐๐ค) ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ซ ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐% ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐๐๐), while ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ซ ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐ญ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐% ๐๐๐, including the permitted six (6) inch visor. These measures are designed to improve visibility and enhance road safety for all users.
Motorists found operating vehicles that are non-compliant with the legislation will be ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ.
Traffic Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mahendra Singh, is urging all citizens to ensure their vehicles are fully compliant ahead of the enforcement date. He further advised that authorised traffic ranks will be equipped with ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ to facilitate on-the-spot testing, as public awareness and compliance remain key priorities.
