Protest ensues at Uitvlugt Estate over dismissal of two employees

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Employees of the Uitvlugt Estate, West Coast Demerara have mounted a protest reportedly over the dismissal of a Supervisor and a junior employee by a Senior Manager.

When contacted by iNews, Chief Executives Officer of the Guyana Sugar Corporation Paul Bhim would only confirm that a junior and senior staff was dismissed and that a protest had ensued. He told iNews that he was being briefed and could not provide any further details at the time.

There are conflicting reports as to the reason for the dismissal of the two employees. iNews will bring you details as it become available.
