[www.inewsguyana.com] – A first form student of President’s College was struck down by an alleged speeding driver this afternoon (Sunday, December 28) on the pedestrian crossing at Paradise Village (Line Top), East Coast Demerara.

The dead teen has been identified as Kojo McPherson. A resident, identified as Alda Semple, told iNews that the teen died on the spot after he was struck down by the speeding driver who is known for his reckless driving on the road.

Semple told iNews that the lad left home to purchase a few items at a shop in Enmore when he met his demise.

He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he was pronounced dead. The driver, who was only identified as ‘Iguana’, is in police custody assisting with investigations.

The man is reportedly attached to the Enterprise Taxi Service. [Tracey Khan – Drakes]
