Representatives of the Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) have been elected to serve as Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Mahdia, Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni).
Eslyn Hussein was elected as Mayor while Akita John is the new Deputy Mayor.
The PPP won four seats on the Mahdia Town Council while the A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) also won four.
