[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Pork Knocker of Mahdia was placed on $125,000 bail by Magistrate Ann McLennan on a robbery under arms charge.

Twenty –eight – year – old Dellon Johnson pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on November 25 at 111 Miles, Mahdia, being armed with a knife, he robbed Eleazar Javier of one BLU cellular phone, seven pennyweight of raw gold and cash $210,000, together valued $287,000.

Police Prosecutor, Adonni Innis opposed bail on the nature, gravity and prevalence of the offence, along with the fact that he was convicted of a similar offence in 2013.

The father of one told the Court that the police arrested six men before him and he was never identified in an identification parade.

Johnson was unrepresented and bail was granted. He was ordered to make his next court appearance at the Mahdia Magistrate’s Court for January 19.
