Police seize over 35lbs of ganja after high-speed chase on Soesdyke-Linden Highway

On Wednesday May 21st, 2025 ranks on a police operation in the vicinity of Millie’s Hideout, Soesdyke Linden Highway, observed a red and black XR motorcycle, without identification number, driven by an unidentifiable individual, transporting two salt bags.

An attempt was made to intercept the motorcycle; however, the rider attempted to flee, and a pursuit ensued.

A short distance away, the motorcycle was found abandoned in a clump of bushes to the side of the trail.

It was observed that the two salt bags were still tied to the motorcycle.

A search was conducted, during which five (5) bulky parcels containing leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis were found.

A search was also conducted for the rider, who was not located.

The suspected cannabis, along with the
motorcycle, were lodged.

When weighed the suspected narcotics and amounted to 35.65lbs.

Investigations are ongoing.
