Police are investigating an alleged murder which occurred on Thursday August 20, 2026, at Mowasie Landing, Region #8, resulting in the death of Godfrey Gill, called “Chucky”, a 33-year-old businessman of Mowasie Backdam.
Preliminary information revealed that Gill was in the vicinity of a shop at Mowasie Landing when a loud explosion was reportedly heard.
Gill was subsequently discovered lying motionless on the ground, after which an alarm was raised and the matter was reported to the Police.
Police ranks are presently en route to the location to conduct further investigations.
No arrest has been made at this time.
Investigations are ongoing and further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
