[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Police Constable, who was on duty providing security for a GECOM container in La Grange, West Bank Demerara, has reportedly shot himself in the foot by accident.
The Guyana Police Force confirmed that at approximately 03:20 hrs on Sunday, May 10, the Constable was providing security for the GECOM container in the compound of a fuel station at La Grange, when he is reported to have accidentally discharged a round from his service firearm which struck him to his right foot.
He has received medical attention as the investigations continue.
