Plane crashes at Mazaruni, pilot sustained minor injuries

A Cessna 182P Skylane aircraft crashed earlier this morning at Mazaruni in Region Seven, a senior aviation official has confirmed.

This publication was told that the pilot sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash and is being treated. He was the lone occupant in the aircraft at the time of the crash.

Based on reports, the aircraft is owned by well-known Guyanese pilot Orlando Charles, but he was not the one flying the plane at the time of the incident, which occurred at around 07:50h near Aricheng Airstrip in the Cuyuni-Mazaruni region.
