A team of police ranks led by a woman Deputy Superintendent, earlier today found and destroyed two separate cannabis farms at Yarrowkabra Backdam.
The farms measured two (2) acres and one (1) acre, respectively.
The two acres farm contained about 4,500 cannabis plants ranging from three (3) feet to five (5) feet in height. A makeshift camp and a barrel containing about 140lbs dried cannabis were found at the camp.
The one-acre farm contained about 1500 cannabis plants ranging from one (1) to two (2) feet in height.
Both farms along with the dried cannabis and plants were destroyed by fire.
The estimated street value of the narcotics destroyed today is approximately $21,083,664.
