The Ministry of Housing continues lot identification at Wismar Phase One New Housing Development in Region 10, with more than 1,600 residential plots allocated within the development.
Approximately $5.5 billion is being invested in essential infrastructure works. Phases One and Two cover about 355 acres and include dedicated spaces for recreational facilities, a police outpost, and other modern amenities.
The exercise began on Wednesday, with the first group of allottees invited to identify their respective residential plots.
Under the ministry’s surveyor’s guidance, each allottee was led to the correct location and permitted to mark their plot. This exercise continued on Thursday and will finish on Friday.
A second group of allottees will be contacted at a later date as their plots become accessible.
The Ministry of Housing encourages allottees participating in the Lot Identification Exercises to regularly check their plot, as it will help prevent encroachment and the common problem of people mistakenly building on the wrong lot. [DPI]
