One man was killed and another seriously injured after crashing into a motorcar on the Charity New Road, Essequibo Coast in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
Dead is Daniel Gray, a 27-year-old resident of Somerset and Berks, Essequibo Coast, while the injured man has been identified as 31-year-old Alex Jaigopaul also of Essequibo Coast.

At the time of the accident, which occurred at about 15:20h on Saturday, September 13, the two men were driving separate motorcycles on the Charity New Road.
Investigations indicate that the two motorcycles were proceeding East on the northern driving lane behind motorcar PAC 697.
The two motorcyclists were riding ‘side by side’ when it was alleged by the driver of the car that he put on his right-side indicator to turn South off the public road to enter a Chinese supermarket.
However, as he was turning, the two motorcyclists collided with the right side portion of the car, causing both of them to be flung in the air and land on the southern parapet of the supermarket.
Both motorcyclists received injuries about their bodies.
The driver of the car, along with the motorcyclists were taken to the Oscar Joseph Charity Cottage Hospital, where they were seen and examined by Dr. Mahase.
Daniel Gray was pronounced dead by teh doctor.
Meanwhile, Alex Jaigopaul was admitted for multiple fractures to his left foot and Patrick Murray, the 24-year-old driver of the motorcar – a Pastor from Charity, for injuries to his face.
Both patients were later transferred to the Lima Regional Hospital for further medical attention.
