LuncheonCabinet Secretary, Dr. Roger Luncheon has noted that Government is receiving “mixed signals” from the opposition political parties as it relates to their support of the Amaila Falls Hydro Electricity Project.

At his post cabinet press briefing today Friday, July 5, Dr. Luncheon said that the way forward for the project is highly dependent on the opposition’s support of the legislative process.

“It is the mix signals that continue to create doubts in their role in this major transformative project,” Dr. Luncheon told the media.

Recently, A Partnership for National Unity [APNU] and the Alliance for Change [AFC] got a first – hand look of the project after visiting the site.

However, at a press conference, APNU did not clarify if the party will support the initiative.
