Hundreds of cricket fanatics lined Camp Street, Georgetown on Tuesday as ticket sales opened for the 2025 edition of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) which is set to bowl of on August 14.
Guyana will play their opening home game against the Trinbago Knight Riders on September 6, 2025.
Lines wrapped around the Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) box office, with some patrons arriving as early as 1PM on Monday to secure their spots.
GAW Event Operations Coordinator Romario Samaroo stated, “CPL has become synonymous with cricket in Guyana. The turnout shows fans are eager to witness local and international stars in action.”
The buzz is especially high for the opening Guyana leg match—Guyana vs Trinidad—which Samaroo described as “the most sought-after match” of the tournament.
Ticket prices range from $2,500 for the grass mound to $7,000 for the Green Stand. Patrons may purchase up to 10 tickets per game. The box office also features a merchandise store selling this season’s player replicas.
Samaroo also encouraged fans to support the Amazon Warriors Women, who will play at home for the first time. “Women’s cricket is growing here, and we’re expecting strong support.”
Box office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Tickets for the CPL Playoffs and Final go on sale August 12.
