Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill on Saturday welcomed the reintroduction of Isuzu D-Max 2026 pick up vehicles and Mu-X Medium sized SUVs by local automobile dealer, Marics.

Minister Edghill lauded the timely investment which he noted supports the PPP/C’s plans of making four-door pickups affordable for Guyanese.

Further, he anticipated due to Guyana’s developmental trajectory being spare-headed by the PPP/C administration, the demands for these vehicles will skyrocket as the tourism, trade and construction sectors continue to expand.

“So in predicting the future, I think you are going in the right direction. Thank you for your vote of confidence that you have given in the Guyanese economy that you continue to find ways and means of expanding, increasing and improving and making the statement we are here to stay in the private sector which is well engaged thanks to the fiscal incentives that are coming for vehicle ownership and the fiscal incentives that already existed. And as you know one of the things that is in the manifesto, committed by the PPP/C is making double cab pickups more affordable and accessible. So you are right in the line of the times so congratulations,” the minister said at the launch event.

The new vehicles boast features including increased engine power and strength, use of technology and enhanced comfort with a luxurious interior and exterior design. Their fuel efficiency was also lauded as it supports Guyana’s green footprint.
