Man with missing genitals died from blunt trauma to head & drowning

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police, following a post mortem examination on Friday (December 06) have managed to determine the cause of death of 53 – year – old Andrew Erskine of Fourth Avenue, Subryanville, Georgetown.

Erskine’s body was found on the seawall behind the Criminal Investigation Department around noon on Wednesday (December 4).

Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh gave the cause of death as asphyxiation due to drowning, incised wound to scrotum, blunt trauma to head and concussion injury to the neck.

iNews was informed that the bruises on the man’s body are not many but are consistent with those inflicted on someone during a violent encounter.

Investigations are ongoing.
