Man wanted for killing Mocha mechanic captured – after a year on the run

After almost one year on the run, Kenkassie Lynch – the main suspect in the murder of 23-year-old, who was shot dead in his home in Mocha Arcadia, East Bank Demerara – was arrested.

He is expected to make his first court appearance today.

The suspect, according to reports, has confessed to murdering the mechanic on the night of June 1 at Nelson Street, Mocha Arcadia. He also implicated a cousin of his, whose name has been given only as “Birdman”.

Lynch allegedly told investigators that he killed the man as a favour for his cousin, since the two had an ongoing feud.
