Twenty-five-year-old Niraz Sukdeo of Lancaster Village, Corentyne, Berbice was on Wednesday remanded to prison after being found guilty of causing the death of his girlfriend during a fatal accident last year.
Sukdeo appeared at the Number 51 Magistrate’s Court where Magistrate Tuanna Hardy found him guilty of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the July 22, 2024, crash that claimed the life of his 18-year-old girlfriend, Bibi Aleah Ali; a medical technologist.
Sukdeo will have to return to court next Wednesday to be sentenced.
