Police are investigating a fatal incident surrounding the death of Joseph Sahadeo, Male Guyanese of East Indian descent, age 58 years of 167 Grant Ville Park BV East Coast Demerara, which occurred at Splashmin Fun Park and Village, at about 13:00 hrs on Sunday May 18, 2025.
Investigations so far revealed that the now deceased left home with his wife, Goumattie Singh, his daughter Padmini Sahadeo and other family members; the family brought along two ‘Jet Ski.’
On arrival at Splashmin, Fun Park they were placed in the water.
The now deceased mounted one of ‘Jet Ski’, while his daughter, Padmini, and her friend were on the other. It is alleged that the now deceased collided with the ‘Jet Ski’ Padmini was on and hit his head. He fell into the water and was rescued by family and friends.
He was escorted to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he was seen and examined by a doctor who pronounced him dead. Visible injuries were seen to the head and face of the deceased.
The body was later escorted to the Memorial Gardens Funeral home, awaiting a post-mortem examination
Investigation is in progress.
