[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 36 year-old man today made his first court appearance before Acting Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer to the offence of attempted murder.
It is alleged that the accused Jeffrey Jones of Hallova Village, Upper Mazaruni River, with intent to maim, disfigure, and disable he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Wanita Beharry, his reputed wife.
Jones was not required to plead to the indictable charge, and was remanded to prison.
However, he is schedule to make his next court appearance on December 15 at the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court.
