Man burnt to death in Berbice fire

The remains of a man were found among the debris, following a fire at Grant 1780, Crabwood Creek, Corentyne Berbice, today July 21.

According to the police, the man has only been identified as ‘Martin’ and that he lived along in the building.

The police revealed that at around 1:40h today, a fire of unknown origin completely destroyed the wooden house, when Martin was alone in it.

The police provided no other details about the incident, as they continue their investigations.
