[www.inewsguyana.com] – An iNews poll has found that the majority of participants are not satisfied with the Guyana Police Force response to crime in Guyana.
Following a week of voting on the question, “are you satisfied with the Police Force response to crime in Guyana?” 61 percent of participants said no, 36 percent said yes and a mere three percent were undecided.
Over the years, the Police Force has been heavily criticized for their policing tactics, use of excessive force, brutality and in general the way they respond to a crime situation.
Residents have complained on numerous occasions that the police only turn up at a crime scene, after the act has been committed. However, the Force has also been commended on several occasions for their bravery and “good police work.”
