Maid accused of stealing gold ring granted bail

A maid was today placed on $75,000 bail when she appeared before Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan charged with simple larceny.

Thirty – year – old Ronique Fraser of Samaroo Dam West Bank Demerara pleaded not guilty to the offence which stated that on July 08 at 118 Roxanne Burham Garden Georgetown she stole one gold ring valued at $180,000 property of her employer, Welton Adams.

Fraser was represented by Attorney-at-Law Adrian Thompson who made an application for reasonable bail noting that this is his client’s first offence and that she never had any problem with the law before. The woman will reappear in court on August 08. [Royan Abrams]
