[www.inewsguyana.com] – Marvin Williams of Linden was busted with an illicit substance at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) this afternoon (Thursday June 26), by agents of the Customs Anti – Narcotics Unit (CANU).
He was an outgoing passenger on Caribbean Airlines flight BW526 en-route to JFK New York.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the item was found wrapped in clothing in the man’s luggage.
iNews could not ascertain if the illegal substance was cocaine or marijuana. Williams reportedly claimed it was for his personal use.
He is currently being detained as investigations get underway.
