LIAT resumes normal operations following end to strike

0

[www.inewsguyana.com] – LIAT says its operations are returning to normal following the end of industrial action by members of its pilots’ union.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Julie Reifer-Jones in a statement today, November 8 said full service has resumed throughout the LIAT network.

The statement added that LIAT acknowledges with regret the inconvenience and disruption passengers throughout the region have experienced over the past few days.

On Tuesday, November 5 LIAT was forced to ground all its flights after its pilots did not report for duty.

The Airline subsequently met with the pilots and was negotiating on several demands that were made. This left hundreds of LIAT passengers stranded across the 63 locations the airlines serves.
