The lifeless body of a 27-year-old man was discovered lying in the middle of the Marudi Public Road on the Soesdyke/Linden highway earlier today (Monday).
The dead man has been identified as Mukesh Tobbin, a labourer of Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara.
The man’s death is being treated as a result of a hit-and-run accident as vehicle debris was found at the scene.
Reports say that, at around 07:15hrs today, police responded to information that the man’s body was lying on the road.
Investigations are ongoing.
