A total of twenty solar-powered streetlights were distributed to the community of Korosima in Region One (Barima-Waini) last week by the Office of the Prime Minister -Guyana, in collaboration with the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA). The distribution was carried out by OPM Technical Officer, Kevyn Murray and GEA Electrician/Technician, Raphael Alves.
The streetlights will be installed throughout the community to enhance safety and security, particularly at night.
This initiative reflects the Government of Guyana’s commitment to expanding access to sustainable energy solutions, improving community infrastructure and supporting development across the country.
