Kitty resident remanded for alleged threatening behaviour

Twenty – Three – year old Kelvin De Souza of 48 Pike Street Kitty, Georgetown made his first court appearance before Magistrate Ann Mc Lenna to answer a threatening behaviour charge, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The Court heard that on August 10 at 203 Garnette Street Kitty Georgetown he threatened Annicia Towler. Police prosecutor Dinero Jones disclosed that on the day in question the accused approached the woman and told her that he would like to get to know her.

According to the prosecutor, the woman refused during which the accused became annoyed and pulled out a knife and threatened to kill the complainant. The Magistrate refused bail and the accused will make his next court appearance on September 11. [Royan Abrams]
