IT equipment for new Forensic Laboratory stolen

[www.inewsguyna.com] – The Home Affairs Ministry has disclosed that a quantity of IT equipment, including computers and related equipment were discovered missing from a storage area at the Citizen Security Programme Office located at Ogle, East Coast Demerara on Saturday, November 9.

This disclosure was made today (November 13 – four days later) to the media via a release.

Some of the equipment were earmarked for the New Forensic Laboratory at Turkeyen.

The Guyana Police Force is said to be conducting investigations into the matter.
