An Indian business delegation is scheduled to visit Guyana next month to explore opportunities for partnerships with companies here.
This was revealed by Minister of Tourism, Industry, and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues, on Monday night.
“Our president and government have been promoting Guyana globally as land of opportunity. Just this week, I was informed of a business delegation from India that plans to visit during GuyExpo to explore partnerships with our major business groups. This is a reflection of the growing global confidence in Guyana’s economic potential,” Minister Rodrigues said.
GuyExpo 2025 will be held from November 13-16.
Minister Rodrigues emphasised that the local private sector must capitalise on the growing opportunities, as Guyana gains increasing recognition as an emerging player in international trade
“Guyana remains one of the fastest growing economies in the world and increasingly, we are being recognised as an emerging player in international trade and investment. Our private sector must seize this moment by matching the government’s energy with creativity, innovation and agility,” she noted.
Just this week, a Canadian business delegation was in Guyana to explore investment opportunities here. The delegation comprised five companies representing diverse sectors such as financial technology, information and communications technology, infrastructure, education, and sanitation.
