[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Taxi Driver is now nursing a gunshot injury to his buttocks after he was attacked by two men on Wednesday night, February 5.
According to the Police, Dwayne Estwick of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara was attacked and robbed of his motor car at Kiskadee Drive, South Ruimveldt.
He was reportedly attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. Estwick was shot and injured to his buttocks during the incident.
One of the men had hired Estwick at Stabroek Market to go to South Ruimveldt. There the other man joined him and they then attacked and robbed the taxi-driver. Estwick has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital. The motor vehicle has not been recovered as yet.
