Ambassador Dharamkumar Seeraj on Tuesday presented his Letter of Credence to President of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, formally accrediting him as Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to Sri Lanka.

During the occasion, High Commissioner Seeraj reaffirmed Guyana’s commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship, cooperation, and collaboration between the two countries.

Guyana and Sri Lanka established diplomatic relations on 14 July 1974, and continue to maintain active cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

Seeraj also serves as High Commissioner of Guyana to India, from where he is now concurrently accredited to Sri Lanka.
