Handyman to spend three years behind bars for cocaine possession

A handyman who was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine was earlier today (Wednesday) charged when he appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

Mark Anthony, 63 of Guyhoc Park, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown was jailed for three years when he pleaded guilty to the charge brought against him.

That charge alleged that he, on July 18 at Bourda, Georgetown was found to be in possession of 4.3 grams of cocaine.

Anthony pleaded for leniency revealing to Magistrate Azore that he is in the process of seeking help as he is an addict.

However, Azore jailed the man for three years.
