Guyanese vessel attacked by Pirates in Suriname waters

Pirates[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Police Force and Coast Guard are in contact with its counterparts in neighbouring Suriname, where a Guyanese fishing vessel was reportedly attacked by pirates in that country’s waters.

The incident took place at approximately 08:00 hrs on Wednesday, June 17. iNews was reliably informed that the pirates took away a quantity of fish glue from the fishing vessel.

It is not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the attack. [Leroy Smith]
