A 79-year-old man from Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Essequibo) is Guyana’s latest Covid-19 death.
The man died at around midnight on September 6, according to the Ministry of Health.
This takes the country’s Covid-19 death toll to 47.
Meanwhile, the number of positive cases recorded to date is 1,560. The number of recoveries is 962.
