Ranks of the Guyana Police Force, acting on information received, went to a house at 17th Avenue, Diamond Housing Scheme, EBD, about 00:30hrs this morning and conducted a search, during which a 23-year-old fisherman was found in possession of an unlicensed .32 pistol with two matching rounds. He has since been taken into custody along with two female occupants who were present.
According to the Police, the male suspect was found hiding in the ceiling of his one flat home.
A Ballistic test is being conducted to determine if the weapon was used in the commission of any crime. Investigation in progress.
