GT man allegedly caught with unlicensed gun remanded

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – one – year old Frederick Boyce of Georgetown was remanded to prison on Monday, August 31 for the illegal possession of a gun and ammunition.

He appeared before Magistrate Ann McLennan, where he pleaded not guilty to the offense, which alleged that on August 28, 2015 at Le Repentir Cemetery Road, he was found in possession one Taurus Pistol and seven live rounds of matching ammunition.

The Prosecution claimed the defendant has no fixed placed of abode and that there are outstanding statements still be issued to the court. As such, Boyce was remanded and will make his next court appearance on September 14 at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
