Policing Division Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) on Saturday launched its Christmas Policing Plan for 2025 at the Regional Democratic Council’s Boardroom on First Avenue, Bartica.
The intensified policing arrangements for the region will run from November 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026. During this period, the Division will implement comprehensive crime mitigation strategies, including intelligence-led special operations, foot and bicycle mobile patrols, joint river patrols between the Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Defense Force, roving patrols, and strategic fixed points, as well as daily profiling of persons entering and leaving the region.
Additionally, booths will be placed at key locations across various areas around the township to strengthen visibility and accessibility.

The Division’s primary focus will be on enhancing crime prevention and traffic management to ensure a safe environment for the community.
During the presentation, Commander Dion Moore shared some crime prevention tips.
Following the presentation, Assistant Commissioner Moore and his team engaged those in attendance in an interactive discussion, receiving valuable feedback, tips, and concerns from the Regional Executive Officer, Regional Councillors, and other stakeholders.
The engagement provided insights for refining the plan and underscored the collaborative efforts between the police and community in maintaining safety during the holiday season.
The Commander expressed gratitude for the feedback and presented a comparison of regional crime statistics over the past two years, highlighting the Division’s commitment to continuous improvement and community safety during the festive season.
