[www.inewsguyana.com] – A solider attached to the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) has drowned in the New River area, according to a press statement from the Force.
According to the GDF, 21066 Private Dellon Nero died by drowning on Saturday, March 22 at the army location in the area around 6:25hrs. The GDF did not reveal the circumstances under which Nero met his demise.
It was noted that the Solider’s body was recovered and a team of investigators from the GDF and Police Force was flown into the location early on Sunday, March 23.
