[www.inewsguyana.com] – Seven Guyana Defense Force (GDF) officials sustained injuries in a collision on Thursday, January 29 between a truck and minibus on the Garden of Eden Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
The Georgetown Public Hospital says the injured are being treated and that the victim, who sustained the most severe injuries, dislocated his left hip and open fracture left tibia.
Meanwhile, another victim fractured his left forearm and will undergo elective surgical reduction Tuesday, February 03, the Hospital said in a statement.
It was noted that a victim who is experiencing neck pains has been sent for x-rays to rule out c-spine injury. The others have been sent for x-rays. A few persons were also referred from GDF’s medical core for x-rays.
