A post mortem performed on the body of 24-year-old Shenece Lawrence who was killed by her reputed husband proved that she was stabbed several times to the neck and body.
The autopsy was performed by Dr Nehaul Singh at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The woman was stabbed on Sunday by her 34-year-old reputed husband at their Freeman Street, East La Penitence home.
It was reported that Lawrence’s body was discovered with a knife stuck in the neck.
However, it was reported that after committing the act, the suspect, a security officer attached to the Guyana Oil Company (GuyOil) walked into the East La Penitence Police Station and reported that crime.
He was the one who led the Police to the body, and he has since been taken into custody to assist with investigations. He is expected to be charged soon.
