Father of four remanded for robbery underarms

DSC05741[www.inewsguyana.com] – Mark Lovell, a 44 – year – old miner was remanded to prison on Tuesday November 26, Magistrate Judy Latchman after he pleaded not guilty to a robbery underarms offence.

The allegations stated that on November 15 at West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, being in company with another man armed with a gun, he robbed Rico Persaud of one Blackberry cellular phone valued $50,000.

Police Prosecutor, Renetta Bentham objected to bail on the grounds of seriousness and prevalence of the offence. She further objected that a gun was used. The objection was upheld and the father of four was remanded until December 5.
