Exercise restraint, demonstrate leadership as electoral process moves forward – PSC urges

As of 18:28 hrs, the Private Sector Commission is pleased to report that the electoral process proceeded smoothly across the country. Polls closed on time and without incident. Our accredited observers were fully deployed in the field and provided timely reports, which indicated that the overall risk posture remained low.

At the close of polls, the PSC recorded few minor incidents, none of which significantly disrupted the conduct of polling.

The Commission extends its sincere thanks to all our observers for their commitment and dedication to this important national exercise. We will continue our observation during the counting phase and will provide further updates as the process advances.

At this critical juncture, the PSC calls on all political parties to exercise restraint, demonstrate leadership, and ensure that peace is maintained as the electoral process moves forward.
