[www.inewsguyana.com] – Relatives of 23 – year – old Rawle Cornelius are debunking claims that he is related to a 17 – year – old girl, whom he allegedly committed suicide for.
Following the publication of the story by iNews, relatives made contact and stated that the two are in no way related by blood. However, the teenager’s family remains adamant that they are cousins.
iNews had earlier reported that Cornelius of Charity, Essequibo Coast ended his life by ingesting a poisonous substance after a love affair with the 17 –year – old was rejected by her parents.
Relatives of the now dead man explained that his mother received a telephone call after which she visited the teen’s house where she found her son in pain. He was rushed to the Charity Hospital, where he remained a patient before dying on Friday night (July 11).
The family does not believe that Cornelius committed suicide. The police are investigating.
