Orin Boston, a businessman of Darmouth, Essequibo Coast, was last night shot dead allegedly by ranks of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit of the Guyana Poice Force (GPF).
The GPF has not released any information on the development but INews understands that the SWAT team was conducting an operation in the region when the incident occurred.
Residents are currently protesting the man’s murder, by blocking roads and bridges by burning tyres.
